Paula Roy, Vice President, Learning and DevelopmePaula Roy - VP Learning & Developmentnt

Paula Roy is the global leader in behavioral interviewing and selection strategies. Over the course of 20 years as a training and organizational development leader, Paula has designed and delivered comprehensive learning and development programs in the staffing, outsourcing, retail, manufacturing, and financial services industries.

A recognized expert in behavioral interviewing and in developing comprehensive selection strategies, Paula has implemented these methods in corporate environments across the nation. She has used a comprehensive project management system to develop the productivity and effectiveness of sales teams, project teams, and executives.

Paula earned her degree in communication and management and has completed extensive study and research in adult learning theory and methodology.

Mark Berger, Adjunct Faculty

Mark E. Berger, C.P.C., AIRS CIR, has been in recruiting and staffing since 1979. He is currently the proprietor of Swat Recruiting (www.swatrecruiting.com), a firm supporting the technology needs of the recruiting and staffing industry. He has been heavily involved in Internet recruiting and has become an expert on recruiting and sourcing products and services available to the recruiting industry. Mark also has a high level of expertise in recruiter databases (ATS’s), including how these products add to the bottom line.

Since 1998, he has authored the Internet Recruiting column appearing monthly in The Fordyce Letter. Mark has taken AIRS I and II training and has obtained the AIRS CIR designation. He serves on the board of directors for the Missouri Association of Personnel Services.

David Searns, Adjunct FacultyDavid Searns - Adjunct Faculty

David is President of Haley Marketing Group, a relationship marketing services firm specializing in the Staffing Industry. Haley Marketing offers a unique relationship marketing process that helps staffing and search firms to stand out, stay top-of-mind, and win more business. They provide a range of services to satisfy the marketing needs (and budgets) of most types of staffing firms. Haley Marketing's direct mail and e-mail marketing services are currently being used by more than 50 staffing organizations across the United States and Canada.

Prior to forming Haley Marketing, David was Director of Marketing for a western New York temporary staffing and direct placement service. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems from Clarkson University.

Diane Geller, Adjunct FacultyDiane Geller - Adjunct Faculty

Diane is an attorney and partner in the firm of Ruden, McClosky, Smith, Schuster & Russell, P.A., in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. With a focus on the Staffing Industry, she represents companies of all sizes in contract negotiations, employment matters, receivables financing, franchise law issues, and general corporate matters. Diane also represents staffing clients in negotiating, structuring, and documenting the purchase or sale of a business.

In addition to representing management, she has counseled staffing clients on a variety of labor matters including the defense of sexual harassment charges and employment discrimination lawsuits, "Independent Contractor" issues, employment agreements and covenants not to compete, unemployment compensation filings, and preparation of employee policy handbooks.

Diane is a graduate of Long Island University, C.W. Post Center, and received her law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the New York Bar and the Tennessee Bar. Diane is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States and the United States District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Kathy Ritchie, Registrar

Kathy Ritchie is a Master Virtual Assistant (MVA) and has been working in administrative support since 1982. She brings extensive experience to the role of StaffingU Registrar from her tenure in administration at the collegiate level.
